This course will take users through the basics of detailing LGS frames. It will cover concepts of reading and understanding information contained in plans, and how they comply to LGS detailing and frame construction. This is an introduction to detailing which is a pre-requisite to learning how to use the ENDUROCADD® software.

By the end of the course, users will be familiar with:-

  • How to read and understand building drawings;
  • Understand the status of different drawings and which should be used;
  • Provide an understanding of how architectural concepts relate to LGS frames;
  • The importance of claddings and how LGS frames need to be designed to handle different types of claddings;
  • Provide information on how to determine if the information provided in the drawings is complete and how to handle incorrect/incomplete information;
  • Provide general strategies around how to manage risk where information provided is not complete;
  • Provide an understanding of openings and how they are referenced in architectural drawings and how they relate to LGS frames;
  • Provide an overview of the detailing process in 'modeling up and detailing down';

Each lesson will have a quiz at the end and it will be necessary to pass each lesson to progress to the following lessons.
